Patsy Ann Bell
Patsy Ann is the owner of Bell Designs. As the creative director with a little over thirty years in the graphic design field, she is able to draw solutions from her extensive collection of experiences which includes eleven years working as an environmental graphic designer for a local architecture firm, HKS Architects.
Prior to starting her career, Patsy Ann spent two years studying interior design at The University of Texas at Austin. She then transferred to Southern Methodist University where she obtained her BFA in Studio Art.
She’s a Dallas native who happens to enjoy being part of the contemporary art scene in Dallas. She’s been lucky to witness and participate in some interesting fringe happenings. After serving on the committee responsible for launching The Texas Biennial Art Exhibition in 1993, she helped launch The McKinney Avenue Contemporary and eventually joined its board and helped organize its fundraisers. Later she worked with the new UT Dallas SouthSide Artist Residency Program formed by Rick Brettell and Karen Weiner, creating their marketing materials and producing a two-year retrospective catalog. This program is now known as CentralTrak, The University of Texas at Dallas Artists Residency. There’s more to list, but let’s stop there, because too many words are too many words.
